Description

As part of the Tennessee Serves Volunteer Initiative across Tennessee State Parks, Radnor Lake will be kicking off National Public Lands Day week with an afternoon volunteer trail day on Friday, September 20th from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.  Volunteers are asked to register ahead of time.

Please meet at the Walter Criley Visitor Center for a safety orientation and discussion on our project goals for the day as we work together to improve our trails at Radnor Lake via wheelbarrowing mulch along the trails.  Depending on the weather, parking on can be an issue due to high visitation.  Please allow additional time to park.  Thank you in advance for your patience.

Park rangers will lead our volunteers out as we hike to our work location for the afternoon until 6pm. Friends of Radnor Lake will be providing bottled water, gloves, and insect repellent for our volunteer day. This volunteer event is considered strenuous, volunteers are asked to wear good hiking shoes and plan on hiking up to 1.5 miles along our trails and/or Otter Creek Road.

Any group volunteers and/or for any additional questions prior to our volunteer day, please contact Lyndy Maness at lyndy.maness@tn.gov or at 615-373-3467.

Special thank you to Friends of Radnor Lake for funding our volunteer needs for this special volunteer day!
