Join Ranger Connor at Burgess Falls' pavilion to embark on a park clean-up excursion for National Public Lands Day! We will be setting off on a short canoe float above the dam and paddle out to Spears Point on the Burgess Falls Lake. There, we will make landfall and walk out on the small peninsula to pick up garbage. This is an area of the park only accessible through canoe/kayak which makes it harder to keep clean of debris and litter.
Please wear shoes you do not care to get wet and/or muddy and bring water to drink as well.
Life jackets, boats, paddles, trash grabbers, gloves, and trash bags will be provided.
Meet at the pavilion in the lower parking lot at 9 am on September 20th.
There is a limited number of canoes with only three people maximum to a canoe.
There is very limited parking, so carpooling is encouraged.
