The Greeter Falls Trail and Blue Hole Trail experience a high level of visitation throughout the entire year, but especially during the Summer and Fall. This unfortunately results in trash being left behind at pristine natural landmarks. Help keep Greeter Falls and Blue Hole trails clean by signing up for this volunteer day to come out and pick up trash around these landmarks and the trails leading to them. Volunteers should expect to hike at least 3 miles in uneven and steep terrain, pick up trash during the majority of the volunteer event, and be able to keep secure footing while carrying trash bags, trash grabbers, etc.
Volunteers will meet the Ranger at the Savage Gulf West Trailhead (Greeter Falls) 550 Greeter Falls Rd Altamont, TN 37301 at 8:30 a.m. to begin the volunteer day. Sterile latex gloves will be provided by the Ranger for trash pick-up. If you have an allergy to latex, please bring gloves of your own. Volunteers will need to bring their own water/snacks, weather appropriate clothing, and sturdy shoes for hiking.
A liability waiver will be required for all activities. Please upload it as requested in the registration process
