NEW TRAIL CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES NEAR GREETER FALLS
Saturday, May 14th, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Meet at Greeter Falls parking lot.
We have finished over half of the new reroute and now have turned towards the future staircase on the bluff. Work continues to create a new access trail atop the bluff, which will eventually replace a large, worn-out section of existing trail. This is “Section G” of the larger Greeter Area Trail Improvement Project. Several of us worked in this past and made great progress on this section. The general layout has been completed and approx. 230 feet of trail has already been completed. Come see where the new stairs will be built down to the current trail.
New trail starts Only 1/4 mile from the Greeter Parking Lot Trailhead.
»» Please bring a pair of loppers, snips if you have them, a pruning hand-saw and stiff garden or leaf rake (or whichever of those you have)
If you haven't gone down there, Section “D”, our newest section of box steps, leading to the spiral staircase at Greeter Falls, is now open!
Don’t forget work gloves and sturdy shoes — also plenty of water and lunch or high-energy snack!
Dress in layers!
