The park has an urgent need for volunteers to cut sorghum cane this weekend. Come for just one hour or spend several hours helping us get the cane prepared for cooking next week. Sorghum that is grown and harvested at the park is sold in our gift shop.
If you have a machete, please bring that with you; otherwise, the park will provide you with the proper tools.
If you are under the age of 16, you will need to be accompanied by an adult. All volunteer must sign our liability waiver which can be found here. Please try to bring your completed waiver with you to the park. We will have blank waivers on hand the day of the event.
