Have you ever wondered how wooden pedestrian bridges are built along hiking trails?! Well now is your chance to find out! Do so by coming out and helping support South Cumberland State Park by volunteering with us for a combined effort supporting National Public Lands Day and TN Serves day! During this work day we will be installing a new wooden bridge along to historic Lone Rock Trail to help improve trail conditions and make it a safer, more enjoyable experience for all. This work day will include construction equipment, power tools, and uneven working conditions, so closed toed shoes, work gloves, and safety glasses will be required throughout the work day. Also be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks/lunch, bug spray, and sunscreen to get you safely through the day (as well as anything else you think you may need.)
