2 Hour Volunteer Workday & 8 Hour TN Promise Volunteer Workday.
Weed Wrangle® is a state-wide clean-up event dedicated to ridding Tennessee of non-native plant species. As part of this statewide event, volunteers will be help to eradicate invasive plants in public spaces. Our intent as stewards of the environment is to support our partners in their commitment to removing invasive plants throughout Tennessee State Parks and Natural Areas.
2 HOUR VOLUNTEER
Add your hands to those of the staff of Johnsonville State Historic Park for the Weed Wrangle® as we work together to clear non-native plants, vines, and other things that don’t belong from historic areas of the park. Tennessee Promise scholars, scout groups, church youth groups, families and others of all ages who enjoy the outdoors and would like to help out are welcome.
8 HOUR TN PROMISE/TN ACHIEVES VOLUNTEER
This volunteer workday experience is an opportunity for TN Promise/TN Achieves students to serve 8 hours in their community. Please bring a lunch.
Outdoor work clothing, footwear and work gloves are recommended. In the event of severe weather the work day will be cancelled.
Due to Covid protocols, this volunteer opportunity is limited to 10, we do ask you register in advance. If six feet cannot be maintained between individuals/families then face masks are required.
