Once again, we are gearing up for the Booker T Washington State Park annual "National Public Lands Day event. The day of giving back to the Park community will be on Saturday, September 19, 2026, starting at 8:00 am, with the NCHI Diabetes/Lupus Walk for health. Then at 10:00 am we will have the Day of Invasive Plant Removal Volunteer event meeting at the old pool parking lot. Then, to cap off the day, we will partner with the Prince Hall Shriners for the Annual Youth & Family Cookout from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. The park staff looks forward to seeing you out at the park for a day of healthy activities, giving back to the community, and lots of good food. So come on out and spend the day at the park.
