Lend a hand where the forest needs it most - help clear storm-fallen trees along the Grundy Forest Day Loop!
Volunteers will work alongside park staff to lift, carry, and naturally disperse downed branches and tree material along the trail corridor. This is hands-on physical work and will involve working on uneven terrain, encounter thorns, and being outdoors for the duration of the event.
This is a GREAT opportunity to make a visible impact on one of the park's most loved trails while spending time outside and giving back to the landscape that gives us so much.
Volunteers will need the following:
- Dress according to the weather.
- Wear clothing that you can get dirty
- Wear sturdy/ closed-toed footwear
- Bring plenty of water and a snack
- Bring work gloves (if you have them)
- Eye protection (if you have them)
- Sunscreen and insect repellant
