Looking for service hours? Montgomery Bell State Park could always use a helping hand!
We are in need of volunteers who are interested in hiking and would like to assist with collecting data about downed trees on trails.
Volunteers registered for this opportunity should expect to hike up to 2 miles on uneven trails to assess trails for downed trees, the volunteer will take a photo of downed trees on the trail and upload information onto our survey 123 app.
This volunteer event is self-led, to be completed on March 1st during daylight hours. After you register you will receive an email with instructions on how to collect data, along with a map and details about your assigned trail section.
Volunteers will be required to dress appropriately for the weather, wear closed toed shoes and bring their own water. A smart phone with the ability to download apps and take photographs is required, a portable charger is recommended.
