Volunteer Opportunity: South Horton Trail System – Phase 3 Trail Building
Join us in expanding the South Horton Trail System! With the first 6.75 miles of trail now complete, it’s time to take the next step and build Phase 3 of this exciting project. Volunteers are invited to help create new trails to enhance outdoor recreation access and preserve our natural spaces.
Details:
Meetup location: Park Maintenance Yard at (Warner Rd. at Riverview Rd. Lewisburg TN, 37091
Duration: Approximately 3 hours per session.
What to Expect:
Work outdoors in a team environment to construct and shape new trail sections.
Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and loppers (training provided).
Engage in meaningful conservation work to improve your local trail system.
Requirements:
Must be able to work outdoors for the full session.
Comfortable using hand tools.
Willingness to work collaboratively in a group setting.
Wear appropriate clothing, including closed-toed shoes.
Bring water and snacks as needed to stay hydrated and energized.
This is a great opportunity to give back to the community, meet like-minded individuals, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. No prior trail-building experience is required, just enthusiasm and a can-do attitude!
