Join us at the Sadie Ford Heritage Farm to get our vegetable garden started. We need volunteers to help weed and till the garden beds and then plant the seeds for our vegetable to grow this summer. Our vegetable garden reflects the Ford Family needs to grow their own food during the Great Depression and WW2.
The garden is maintained by volunteers and park summer staff but is a community garden open to the public to use and collect vegetable to eat. The vegetables are also used to feed the chickens and turtles that reside at the farm and the Nature Center.
Join us to help maintain the gardens and let's have a "fruitful" summer.
