Description

Join Park Ranger Justin Vaughn for a Trail Work Day on the Merritt Ridge Trail!

We’ll meet at the marina parking lot and travel to the work area by pontoon boat. Our focus will be on the western side of the Merritt Loop, where we’ll be working on:
✔ Removing downed trees
✔ Blowing leaves off the trail
✔ Trail marking

The exact tasks will depend on the number of volunteers and the prep work completed beforehand—we may tackle all three or just a portion.

What You Need to Know:

  • This section involves moderate-difficulty hiking, so dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required; hiking boots are highly recommended.
  • Bring plenty of water, snacks, and lunch.
  • Please bring your own work gloves and safety glasses (park supplies are limited).

If you have any questions, please contact Park Ranger Justin Vaughn.

We appreciate your help and look forward to seeing you on the trail!
