Join Roan Mountain State Park on Friday, January 17th from 9:00AM-12:00PM for a clean-up of the Left Prong of Hampton Creek and debris removal along the pasture fence lines along the creek. This event will meet and take place at our sister natural area, Hampton Creek Cove SNA starting at the main parking lot at 760 Hampton Creek Road; Roan Mountain, TN. 37687.
Meet your host, Ranger Phil Hylen, at the parking area where up to 20 volunteers will get an overview of the area and receive work gloves, trash bags, and water. During this 3-hour workday, volunteers will aid in bagging trash, placing burnable debris into designated piles, and aiding in removing debris clogs in the Left Prong created by Hurricane Helene.
