Join Ranger Willis at Burgess Falls State Park on November 2, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. We will be done collecting acorns around noon. We will meet at the pavilion behind the restrooms. We will walk the gravel road and collect White Oak acorns to support the Department of Forestries White Oak Initiative program. You will learn how important the White Oak species is to our wildlife and economy. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring water. The park will handle caring for and delivering the acorns after collection.
