Opportunities From: Tennessee State Parks

Volunteer: Weed Wrangle at Pickwick

Join us for the annual Weed Wrangle at Pickwick Landing State Park!  We'll be working to remove invasive privet from the edges of the tree lines to make room for natives to reclaim the area!

Volunteers have two one-hour opportunities to assist.  We'll have one 2-hour shift from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and a second option from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.  Volunteers are welcome to attend both sessions if they choose.  Volunteers will check-in at the Park Office at the address below.

Please wear clothing appropriate for landscaping type activities and closed toe shoes.  Gloves, loppers, bug spray, and sunscreen will be available but feel free to bring your own gloves or tools.

We will have a water cooler on hand.  Please bring reusable water bottles that you can refill as needed.
