Help us protect our investment in grassland habitat by flagging trees!
Earlier this year, we planted about 20 acres of grassland habitat throughout the park. Now, we need to ensure that those grasslands aren't overrun with woody species like sycamore and sweetgum. Volunteers will be 'grid searching' the fields and flagging each and every tree so that they can later be removed by hand. This will ensure that we start these projects with a clean slate.
Volunteers MUST wear pants and close toed shoes for this event. Gloves will be provided.
