Scott's Gulf Wilderness staff needs your help! Join us as we work on sections of Virgin Fall main trail for routine trail maintenance. This could include: removing trees, roots, or rocks from the trail, adding water bars or cribbing in high erosion areas, or general trail improvement.
This is a strenuous, labor intensive trail day so please plan accordingly.
We honor all TN promise hours. If you need to complete community service or volunteer service hours to fulfill a requirement for scholarships, graduation, fraternity/sorority obligations, etc., this is a great opportunity to get those hours.

Volunteers should plan on meeting Ranger Allen at the Virgin Falls Trailhead (2080 Scotts Gulf Road, Sparta, TN) at 10:00am. Ranger Allen will brief all volunteers on the location in the park where the work will take place and the project/task to be done. Please bring water, light lunch, and snacks with you and wear appropriate footwear/attire for the weather.
If you have any questions about this volunteer work day, please feel free to reach out. In case of extreme weather, we will cancel. However, we will work in light rain.
