Description

Help park staff fight the battle against invasive plant species!

Volunteers will be working with park staff on removing invasive plant species, including privet, Japanese honeysuckle, Amur honeysuckle, Autumn Olive, winter creeper, Virginia Creeper, and Multi-flora Rose. The specific area that we will be working on will be determined as the workday gets closer. Volunteers should plan on meeting Ranger Stephanie at the main parking lot on Kelly Lane at 9:00am. Tools and gloves will be available for volunteers to use, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own if they have some that they would like to use. Please bring water for drinking, wear appropriate footwear, and wear appropriate clothing for working off-trail.

If you have questions regarding this volunteer workday, please contact Ranger Stephanie at 865-333-8270 or stephanie.mueller@tn.gov.
