Rock Island State Park is excited for warmer temperatures and Spring wildflower season! Help us remove invasive autumn olive shrubs near the campground at Rock Island State Park and encourage native flowering plants to thrive. Afterwards, hike the Bluff Trail or Moonshine Trail for a fun Sunday afternoon! This is a re-scheduled opportunity after having to cancel due to storms.
Meet at the tennis court parking lot at 2:00 PM. We will be using hand loppers and hand saws to cut down the invasive shrubs. Bring water, comfortable hiking shoes, and dress for the weather. We will have the tools and gloves to get the job done.
Thank you for your volunteerism and service!
