Love Roan Mountain State Park and want to help keep our forests, fields, river, and trails beautiful and natural? Join us on from 3-5PM on Monday, June 20th at the Park Headquarters building to learn how to help the park maintain our native plants throughout the park and remove invasive plants that are harming our natural plant communities.
In this June mini-workshop, interested volunteers will be trained on how to remove non-native Multi-flora Rose and Japanese Knotweed through park lands and be trained on proper use of equipment and herbicide chemicals used in this process. Once trained, volunteers may choose shifts to combat non-native plants.
