Join Ranger Kristen for a Clean up of Hall Springs
Meet at the Park Office
Pizza and drinks provided
In honor of Earth Day, Montgomery Bell State Park will be cleaning out our largest surface spring, Hall Springs. We will be removing leaf litter, sediment, cleaning rock surfaces and installing two benches. Our long term goal is to complete water quality research of the spring and measure the gallons per minute coming out of the spring. If you own muck boots, waders or river shoes, please bring them. A hat, water, sunscreen, bug spray and sun glasses are also recommended. Participants must be 18 and up for this one, folks.
Outdoor work clothing, footwear and work gloves are recommended. In the event of severe weather the work day will be cancelled.
Due to Covid protocols, this volunteer opportunity is limited to 20, we do ask you register in advance.
