Celebrate National Public Lands Day at David Crockett Birthplace State Park by helping eliminate some invasive trees! Your assistance with this task will greatly improve the health of the ecosystem, particularly the forested area, of the park.
Please wear pants, closed toe shoes, and preferably a long-sleeved shirt. There will be multiple roles for volunteers, depending on head count and ages. All children MUST have parental supervision. We encourage you to bring work gloves as there will be tools used. Please be sure to bring plenty of water and some snacks to keep you fueled!
Meet at the Visitor Center.
Note: please arrive as close to the starting time as possible, as there will be a brief and very important discussion on how to identify the target tree.
