Weed Wrangle: a statewide volunteer event in conjunction with the Garden Club of America that focuses efforts on invasive plant removals or native plant restoration. Volunteers learn, practice, and begin a habit of maintaining an area free of non-native invasive plants and encourage replanting with natives in removal areas.
Join us at Cedars of Lebanon State Park to tackle some of our worst enemies.... the invasive privet, bush honeysuckle, and tree-of-heaven. These plants can take years to eradicate and that's why we need your help. We can't do it all by ourselves. Not only will you be helping the park but you will be helping to restore the ecosystem back to its' natural state and learn what to look for in your own yards.
Please be prepared to be in the woods. Wear sturdy shoes, bug spray, and sunscreen. We will provide gloves. Please bring water.
We looking forward to eradicating some "bad" plants with you!
