We will be creating a new trail to connect our educational amphitheater to our larger trail system here at the Booker T. Washington State Park. Volunteers should be comfortable performing moderate labor and comfortable with hand tools like shovels and pruning shears. Meet seasonal interpreter Austin in the pool parking lot at 10:00 AM EST, where we will then walk to our future trailhead and begin work! Gloves can be provided as needed, but every volunteer is encouraged to bring their own. Long pants, closed toed shoes, and water are a must while bug spray and sunscreen are always recommended. In the event of inclement weather, this volunteer opportunity will be rescheduled to a later date.
