Volunteer: Rocky Fork Invasive Removal 2026

Join the Friends of Rocky Fork State Park to work on exotic-invasive plant removal.

The park will provide all the necessary tools, equipment, and materials needed for project. Be sure to pack water and snacks. Wear sturdy shoes or boots (Please no Open-Toed Sandals), bring work gloves if you have them, and wear clothes that can get dirty/wet. We look forward to seeing you! TN Promise Students welcome!

Please register so we will be able to contact you in the event of volunteer day Cancellation due to inclement weather.

We will continue to have an invasive removal day on the second Sunday of each month, so if you can't make it this month, you will have more chances to get involved here at the park!

Rocky Fork has the cleanest water of any tributary in the Nolichucky River Watershed. With 2,300 acres of parkland surrounded by 8,000 acres of National Forest.  We aim to keep Rocky Fork pristine and would love to have your help!

This event will be held on the first Sunday of every month, with the goal of keeping Rocky Fork's trails and creeks free of litter.  Meet Park Ranger Cory Franklin in the campfire interpretive area, we will either go along the road or up Rocky Fork trail in search of litter.
